Share Private Keys Securely
Send PGP, GPG, or other private keys through zero-knowledge encrypted links that self-destruct.
The problem
Private keys are the foundation of cryptographic identity — a compromised private key allows impersonation, decryption of past communications, and forged signatures. Emailing or messaging private keys creates copies in mail servers, backups, and chat archives that persist far beyond the intended handoff.
How Vaulted helps
Vaulted encrypts your private key with AES-256-GCM entirely in your browser and generates a self-destructing link. The decryption key exists only in the URL fragment (never transmitted to the server), providing a true zero-knowledge channel. Once viewed, the link is gone — no copies left on any server.
How to do it
- Paste your private key material into Vaulted
- Set a one-view limit to prevent multiple access attempts
- Send the link to the authorized recipient
- They import the key into their keychain, and the link is destroyed
